Hi guys.

I feel a need for this topic to help those of us still developing. Maybe it will help with their understanding of how it can be so 'hit and miss' at times

What I'd like is an account of how you bring spirit in. Is it always clear straight away or does it differ in strength? Are you unable to connect at times? etc.

What do you mean about how you bring a spirit in?

For me I find that I feel someone or something around me, sometimes I will see a shadow and link to that, sometimes I am given a name or an image that I then focus on and link to and sometimes I hear footsteps close by or someone touching me and I then focus and link to that.

I'm still developing my connecting skills and sometimes find it harder than others to link quickly. It seems to vary, but the connections are definately getting stronger and quicker now.

If they want to communicate then I feel someone has entered my mind and then left it so quickly that I am only just aware of it. Its almost like one silent and quick knock on the door. It's something that I learnt to recognise over time.

I then open my mind to allow them access. It's not always a strong connection, don't know if this is down to me or them, but if it's a strong connection then I get words. Sometimes these words are heard in my head (not in another voice, more like a thought, but not my own thought) or written in front of my third eye. I can often see them, in a projection sort of way (see through) but I used to see them in my minds eye alot more often in the begining of my developement. I must also add that if I'm given something for someone else (and yes this happens) then I must deliver it. I feel queesy until I do!

Sometimes I just see them (in that projection kinda way) and they have nothing they wish to say to me. It's almost like they don't know i can see them sometimes!

I have on one occasion, and one occasion only, seen a little girl wearing a lovely white dress in solid form, at the church I attend in Hythe. I was totally convinced that she was living, and had come to church with her mum, but then she was gone! I mentioned it to the woman I had seen her with, and was told that she had lost a baby that appears to Mediums as a little girl. I have to say that seeing a completely solid child who had passed... was one of the strangest experiences!

Sometimes I can be talking to someone and I'll just know something for/about them. No spirit appears, no words in my head, nothing that I can grasp, I just know! One example was me telling a friend at work (while we were out socially) that she had lost a child. She denied this but I kept telling her she had. She finally admitted that she had about 20 yrs ago. I then told her that her daughter was preganant. She said this couldn't be as her daughter was totally against having children, but she asked her daughter anyway, on more than one occasion. Her daughter kept saying she wasn't. I thought that I'd got it wrong but felt that I hadn't (strange feeling)! Everytime I was near my friend I felt queesy, it just wouldn't go away. It became a bit of a standing joke between us, as she would say "still getting it?" and I would say "yes, you will be told". Anyway, 3 months later her daughter admitted to her that she was 5 months pregnant but hadn't said anything because she didn't know what to do!

It's a truly amazing gift we have and we are very lucky to have been chosen to work with spirit in this way. I love all the new things that happen and new ways that spirit work with us.

I forgot to say also... When I have connected in the spiritual church, its a little different. I am drawn to a person for a while, then a spirit appears. But for a while I'm just looking at a particular person that i have been drawn to

You were told by someone quite a few years ago you should be doing platform work weren't you? I reckon he was right, you should work towards doing that, you would be perfect.

Yeah KC you would be good on the platform , this is something i could never do though no matter how good i got be too sacred of clamming up or getting nothing.

For me it depends on wher i am and with who as to who i connect. Out on an invest am getting more confident in what i see and hear and feel. So much more able to say it out loud to others.

Wen i do a card reading i meditate and ground/protect etc. Then it is like i have this thought pop into my head that i know isn't mine and sometimes i see what i have been told. If i have a good connection i am viewing what i am looking as though i am watchinga video but am also part of it tif that makes sense.

I have been told that i am quite spooky when i have connected my eyes glaze over apprently and i will come out with things realting to that person which i couldn't have known. When i have been asked what i am looking at i am able to reply an sometimes i feel as though i am the spirit and am looking at the people i am talking to through thier eyes.

I am now getting good at acknowledin spirit at home. I think it was Alan who said when you close the front door theya re coming in with you so accept it.(LOL)
Quite often i get a visitor when i am on the computer a shadow walks along the landing to the small bedroom i am in temp drops and i acknoweldeg them. I find then i need to mediate to amke a full connection with them. For some reason meditating before connecting works well for mew so now meditae before an invests

I used to do that before an invest Trace, don't tend to now and seem to still get results so thats a bonus for me.

I'd also like to hear from those just finding their gift. Don't be shy. We all began there! I remember well...wondering if it was real or was i losing the plot!!
