Superstitious???Who is and what do you believe?
I always say hello to single magpies and sometimes will even hit myself to get rid of the sorrow quickly.
I never walk under ladders.
I never cross knives.
I often touch wood.

These are all told saying from the 16th and 17th century, IE if you break a mirrow you will have seven years bad luck, this is because damages had to be payed for and women in service, it took seven years to pay for it.
Walking under a ladder meens you are walking to close to the buildings and in tudor times all toilet waist was thowen out of the upstairs window and would get it over you.

There is something about St Chadd's chapel at St Peters on the wall near Bradwell in Essex.
The first time i went there was the first time i held hands with Sylvia and ended up marring her. Four years ofter she died i first meet Marie, we were just friends at the time and it was a nice day so took Alistaire and the dogs over to Stone on the river Blackwater.
Ofter the swim we though we would go down to Burham-on-crouch for some shellfish and went past St Peters, so thought i would stop so they could see it,
As we walked down, Marie held my hand for the first time there and ended up marring her, The saints found two wife's for me and as it's valintines day today, i thought i would say,
The Saint's do help you at times.

If you know of someone who is very ill, you have St Augustine's well in Kent and the water from here is very good and makes people well

No, that's near Sandwich. The main town nearest to it is Cliffs End and in Sandwich bay.

Oh right, I assumed Canterbury because there is a lot to do with St Augustine there.
