Spiritualist churchesHello everyone
I was thinking of visiting a local spiritualist church, either in Folkestone or Hythe. I have never been to one before and do not really know what goes on.........Has anyone been to either of these and/or can anyone explain what happens, what the purpose of the meetings is etc? Is anyone welcome?
Cheers

hi Tinkers.
I attend the one in Hythe nearly every week. I really like it there. It is so friendly.
Yes everyone is welcome, even if you can't attend every week.
After the service every week a guest medium does a demonstration of mediumship, brings people that have passed forward for people in the congregation. I have had my mother brought forward and Jamie has had his dad.
The service starts at 6pm every sunday
I have to say it's a great place, as I met James (Jamie) there in November, for which I am eternally grateful

Hi
Thanks for your reply. What is the service like? Is it akin to a "normal" service whereby praise is given to God etc etc or is it a bit different?
Thanks

we sing conventional hymms and say prayers, spend a minute sending healing where its needed. It's not too long. I find church services quite boring and I'm not sure about Jesus being anything more than a very gifted medium, but it passes quite quickly and then as i said, we have a guest medium.
The best thing you can do is come along and see if you feel comfortable. Thats exactly what i did, and now i go nearly every week. And there is a chance to buy a very cheap cup of tea or coffee at the end and have a chat to people. ..us. It would be great to say hello!
