There is one on the road to Bluebell hill, her name is Mary.
She will get a lift at and disapear at the bottom of the hill, but always leaves a red jumper in the car.

there is a cycilist, Mary, lights from a phantom car, a trible King, Phamtons from the civil war, King John's army when marched on Rochester castle and is noted for witchcraft.

One that i know of on Bluebell hill was killed on her hen night. My old boss was at school with her and was going to the wedding Last year another group did a vigil there as it was 30 years since the death but they ever posted a report if they got anyhting
The other one that Alan said abou with the jumperwas young girl whose parents lived on the old bluebeell hill at the top.She hitches a lift and when people got to the top she has gone but jumper is left behind.Her parents eventually moved away as they got a bit fed up with people returning her jumper
There is also suppsoed to be an old hag
I had a book from the library a whilee ago on ghosts of kent will try and get down there at some point and see if i can get it out again

I assume it's a roman road then? We have a Roman road near where I live (B2068 - stone street), I'm not sure if there have been any sightings on there?

stone street is a roman road? And there is something there you say? And I was only telling you (manda) that i really dont like going to your house because of that road. The feeling I get driving along there is just not right, but I dont know why yet!

It is a very dangerous road, there have been loads of accidents and quite a few deaths on there. The road dips and there are a lot of blind spots, I don't think that helps.
The woods either side are ancient as well, so maybe thats it. I travel up and down there virtually everyday, maybe I've just got immune to the feelings?

The Causway to Mersey (The strood) is a Roman road.
There is an ancient Roman burial mound on Dawes Lane on Mersea, it is said that his wife was buried there, and that he walks to the Island to see her grave. He has been reported by many people driving on and off the Island, and is usually seen at high tide (I cannot think what the link with high tide is).
Also, on Mersea Island, there have been reports that horses and heavy carts have been heard, and never seen, all this takes place around the area of Dawes Lane, and the Burial Mound, Im thinking it might be a focused energy point, or portal.
The Roman Soldier that is seen on the Strood is thought to have been garrisoned at Colchester

Im sure it could be, as long as we are carful. I don't know how the locals will be with us poking and nosing around tho lol.
I think its worth a try. We could even drive the road into Colchester from Mersea, this would closely follow the route the Roman Soldier would have taken

last week me and a mate drove down the old bluebell hill in daylight have to dmit very creepy in daylight. But would love to go back in the dark, and i know how to get there without sat nav lmfao
