Non-psychic'sI know this seems a strange heading, but I couldn't think what else to call it really.
Ok, here goes with my thoughts.
I think (rightly or wrongly) that some spirits will "attack" for want of a better word non-psychic investigators because they are an easy target. They have no protection and cannot see the spirit coming.
This sounds strange, but I was thinking about what happened to Dave the other day and that spirit that took him down and layed him out was nasty and I think he saw dave as an easy target.
What do you guys think?

That probaly hapened due to virginity not to the fact the he's a 'non-psychic' my house i have noticed has a vast amount of paranormal activity and yet my mother and brother both non psychics aren't attacked so there for you are speaking in theory.

I can agree with you on this Manda this used to happen with me and the thing i had wher i worked. He used to attack me because i was open and not aware of protection or naything also at the time was scared of anything to with the paranormal. But they also say that people with mental health problems are also an easy target

Yes thats true and something as common as depression or stress can make someone an easy target aswell.

I don't think it is weather a person is psychic or not, it is weather they have a strong mind or not. The spirit world works by mind and thought.
If a person has a weak mind then is easy to get into.
It's the same here on earth, some people are easy lead. If i said lets go and rob a bank today and sure i'll find someone to say yes lets go, but most would say no.
Those easy lead by over people here on earth are the ones most at risk by dark spirits and hearing voices in there head telling them to do things and then get labeled as mad. It's a queston of right or wrong with the spirit world as the same hear.
I hope this helps you understand, it is just the strenth of the mind.

I think that before I give my thoughts on this subject, I have to say that everyone has the potential to free their psychic gift without them even knowing it.
I have been targeted in the past because I am open, a doorway, a receptacle if you will. This allows them a gateway. The good and the bad have the ability to emerge through us. The protection that some of us impose is through having the strength to close the gate. Those that are psychic but dont actually know it, or dont have the strength yet can be 'attacked' by the 'not so friendly' or more frustrated spirit. In these cases I believe the spirit is attention seeking..."look at me, see what I can do, see how strong I am, notice me NOW"
So it has to do with the strength of mind, like Alan said, and also the confidence to know that you CAN shut the 'gate'.
Just what I'm getting in my head as I type.

I have undertaken quite a few investigations in my time and, despite being as psychic as a brick, have never come under attack, even when people around me have been dropping like flies (don't worry, they all always miraculously recovered in time to drive home.
Always livens up a dull investigation though.
