Does the Devil Do Latin???????????????

Does the devil do latin?I am interested because way back when, witches used to speak their curses in Latin. Was it the witch speaking the curse or was it the Devil? Many women back thenwere very poor,so how would they have learnt Latin? Can anyone shed some light on this?

VERY good question Marie.....I have no idea on that one. I know incantations are often said in latin for both good and bad.

The devil can talk any and can take any shape, the same as his demans, but will always stay in a dark area and never in sunlight.
If in a house during the day, it would be in a dark corner and you would see a dark shadow of the dark sprit.
This is why mediums will drive a dark sprit out of a house during the day as it is weaker.

Thank you all and i never let things go to my head as most times the answers come from sprit and not me.
When i look at a queston, the answers just come as i know about 50% of them and the rest is from my guides.
I learn something new everyday from sprit.

Many of the poor of old spoke latin as we were colonised by the Romans, it is not til about 1200bc did a semi reliable form of english become apparent, it may of been later than that. So English is based mainly from the Anglo-saxons but as with a lot of words they appear hybrids of latin.

Thanks Silver, thats interesting to know.

Latin is an ancient language and so is magic. It stands to reason that many age old spells would have been written in Latin.

That is very true KC, after all many plants are still known by their latin name.

Does the devil do latin

If you go back a few hundred years, you would not understand the language which was spoken in England. If you go back more than that, you will find a language common to the English and the Vikings. They could understand each other.

This is why the English language is full of strang words like light and rough etc. The pronounciation has changed but the spelling has remained the same. I had to learn early English when doing family history.

Iwas reading a book about haunted places in Essex and it is said that the devil wrote in latin in a barn on Walasea Island and left a mark of his claw.

Thanks TC, I would think it is a very interesting language to learn. I wouldn't mind giving it a try sometime!

That sounds interesting Alan, where is that then?
