Depends on what type of hauntings you are looking for.
Battlefields is more the midlands, witchcraft is more Essex, suffolk, dorset and cornwall. Smuggling is more Essex, kent and cornwall.
Haunted castles is more Northumberland, kent and Wales.
Hangings is pretty much the same all over the country.

Im going to Dorset on Holiday in a few weeks time. While I am there, I am going to visit Athelhampton House, Portland Castle, High Angle Batteries (named locally as the Ghost Tunnels), The Nothe Fort in Weymouth, and maybe Bovington Tank Museum.
I will let you all know how I get on

Im going to take loads of pictures at Athelhampton House, and at High Angle Batteries, in the underground tunnels, and at Portland Castle.
There have also been reports that ghostly figures have been seen on the top of the Nothe Fort in Weymouth, so Im going to check that out too
