I live about 10 mins from Lyminge and never knew the forest had so much history. Definately a place for an invest I think. Have a read of this:-

It has rare remains of Celtic, Roman and early medieval woodland settlements covering a period of over 4000 years. They left behind pottery, tools, sunken ways and charcoal pits - and their dead. Some Neolithic tools and burial mounds already listed as ancient monuments, have been found there""

To be honest, the UK is only a small place and full of history, especially the South East and East Anglia.

With a trained eye you can see many features in a landscape indicating human occupation that many would miss.

That is very true Baruc, many people can't see what is infront of their nose and others (like me) don't really know what they are looking for.
