Thanks to KT (Shamen) for a great invest last night. We picked up loads in the woods and some stuff at the ruins. Hopefully KT will put a copy of his report on here for those who could not attend.

We will try and arrange some more invests jointly, as we seem to work well together.

I`ll place the report here Manda, if you want to move it to a more suitable section then please do... Sorry if i haven`t got all the details about your team correct, please ammend as required

PLUCKLEY 5: A STEP BACK IN TIME (KENT)
TIME: 20:00HRS MONTH: AUGUST YEAR: 2007
TEAM MEMBERS: COLIN SMITH / LIZ SMITH / ANDY BALL (MEDIUM) / PETE BEALE
GUESTS: JAMES / SHEREE / DENISE SMITH (PSYCHIC MEDIUM) / MANDA SMITH (MEDIUM) & EKPG (E.KENT PARANORMAL GROUP) Inc: BEV (MEDIUM) / JAMES / THEA
EQUIPMENT: 1X Digital DVD camcorder, 6+ Digital camera , EMF Meter, Laser thermometer, Walkie talkies, Digital voice recorder, Recording paperwork.

One place that draws GHT back over and over again is the wonderful location of Pluckley, Kent. Long said to be the most haunted village in England even though Prestbury in Gloucestershire also boasts the title too. The team decided it had to return even after having done a vigil here earlier in the year, because the date was so significant - August 14th. It was one this date that the small church at Little Chart was destroyed by a doodlebug (WW2 Flying bomb) and left as a ruin that we see today. (The signboard at the church says the date is the 16th August, but all the other sources i`ve checked gave the date as the 14th, so i choose to go with the majority). We were joined on this vigil by Lynne Thorpe`s best friend Manda Smith and some of her team belonging to EKPG (East Kent Paranormal Group) who gave invaluable help and guidence over the course of the vigil.

As normal, our report details here are taken directly from the Record Sheets used during the investigation.

REPORT

PLUCKLEY VILLAGE - ST NICHOLAS CHURCH PORCH

20:00: GHT meet up with EKPG Team in village square and after a short time, head for the porch at St Nicholas Church. Manda and Bev from EKPG give some of the GHT members some help in finding the initial steps to making contact to their Spirit Guides.

DERING WOODS/SCREAMING WOODS

21:45: Both teams start their walk into the woods. 21:47: Andy and Liz notice a man walking behind them. The name James is given. 22:00: The team splits - becoming TEAM ONE: Andy, Liz, Denise, Pete, Sheree and James, TEAM TWO: Colin, Manda, Bev, Thea and James. The report now follows TEAM ONE first, then TEAM TWO.

TEAM ONE:

22:02: Denise and Liz pick-up on a coach and horses, they get the name Robert Ingram. 22:05: Pete picks up on a little girl - Jackalyn - Andy picks up on her brother Robert who is watching his sister. Pete see`s that Jackalyns legs are bound. Surname of Friedricks, but not the little girls name. Andy see`s a farm and feels these could be linked to that name. Andy gets Peterson as the surname for Robert and Jackalyn. 22:09: Team one goes further into the wood. Pete and Andy pick up on Matthew Hopkins who is watching them. Andy and Denise hear a horse whinny. 22:15: whilst walking down the track, Andy feels like he is being choked, as if being hung. The name Matthew (Hopkins??) was given to him while this happened. 22.20: Team one rejoins Team Two.

TEAM TWO

22:00: Manda felt that the group was being followed by a man in his 50`s wearing military uniform, dark coloured with brass buttons and a high collar. She was given the words "These woods are mine!" at least three times. Bev and Manda felt a "presense" of some description whilst walking further down the track, left hand side of the woods - the word "the colonel" was given to Manda. About a 3rd of the way down the track, Team Two came to a pair of trees. Everyone was uncomfortable and uneasy about the trees and felt these trees represented a gateway (to what is unknown) but the team didn`t progress past them. These trees were exactly oppersite each other, same type of tree with a patch of ground between them. This is a similiar setup as Colin and Manda had seen at High Beach church in Epping Forest. Standing by this gateway, a strong presense is felt by Manda and Bev, plus whatever was behind them was closing in. Team two decided to turn back. The entity which had been behind them, swapped around to remain behind them again as the team walked back up the track. As they retreated, this entity got closer and closer to them. James picked up the year 1345. The presense following them on the left was now on the right. Manda was at times feeling sick, light-headed and had shoulder pains. She felt like she had a tight band around her head. Thea was getting pains too on her right side. Team two rejoined Team one.

22:22: James feels as though he can see the outline of a male figure. Andy joins James and a name is given of Albert, a child that Denise had briefly picked up on earlier. He is playing in the trees. 22:25: Matthew Hopkins makes himself known again, he is following the group. Colin decides we should not get involved with him and should return to the cars. A blue orb is seen were Hopkins is standing. Manda, Pete, Andy and Denise move closer but soon retreat - Hopkins does NOT want us there. 22:26: James gets the name Jonathan, but not sure why. 22:30: Hopkins follows group as far as the car park gate, and steps the other side just before the team leave the site...

ST MARY`S CHURCH RUINS, LITTLE CHART

23:00: The team makes a quick recon of the church site before breaking for lunch. When at the church tower, we discovered that the door to the tower staircase has been forced open, possibly by vandalism. Pete, Sheree and Thea elect to go up the stairs since this is a rare oppertunity to explore the tower. They soon stop and return due to pigeons, reporting that many eggs and young birds seem to have been deliberately killed up there. Colin says that the team should be careful and limit their time here as GHT do not want to be seen as responsible for this act of damage and cruelty. There is also a second reason... on the PLUCKLEY 3 vigil, Mediums Lynne Thorpe and Tracey from EKPG passed over a little girl (or so they believed) trapped in the tower by an evil priest spirit. Freeing the girl whilst trapping the priest took great effort, and this was later confirmed by Dave on our PLUCKLEY 4 vigil - however, with the doorway broken, the binding power to hold the priest is gone, and he is free! (There is further info added about this on RESEARCH UPDATES). Pete secures the door best he can, placing the latch back across. Bev, Thea and James decided to leave after a short time onsite.

24:00: LUNCH BREAK. Manda has to leave afterwards due to work next day.

01:20: Pete, Andy and Sheree head back to the ruins to check the doorway again. The latch is back off again!! the door open... A really bad, evil feeling stops the three of them in their tracks and is getting closer to them. GHT decide to leave the site.

ST NICHOLAS CHURCH, THE PORCH

01:28: Andy puts down protection on group. Colin records a temperture of 13.1 in the porch. 01:30: The final part of the investigation see`s Andy conduct a circle in the porch during which the names spirits of Flight Lt. Jeffries, Christopher Dobbins and a lady called Jane (no surname) who seems attached to the year 1744. Towards the end of the circle, Sheree complained of feeling sick, light-headed, as if she was going to faint.. Before she had a chance of collaspsing, Andy stopped the circle and Sheree was taken outside the porch. It took a while for Sheree to recover but she was eventually okay. 02:00: Investigation closes.

Overall, this was an excellent vigil, with Pluckley once more proving to be a hotspot of energies and spiritual activity. Some quite notable orb pictures were taken, although with rain at the beginning of the vigil, some can be attributed to that, however we have a stand-out picture taken by Denise which can be viewed on our GALLERY site (click HERE). Iam troubled that once again, Matthew Hopkins has raised his head to trouble us.. does he generally have an interest in the team and our activities, or is this just coincidence that we are going to places he is active at???. Also worrying are the events at St Mary`s regarding the broken door at the tower - more on this on the Updates section. There was also an interesting parallel with the PLUCKLEY 3 Vigil when Sheree was taken ill inside the porch at St Nicholas church and had to be taken outside, much like the event with happened to Colin there - was she drained like a battery?? who knows... but it was a very similiar event and it would seem to suggest that there is something in that porch that feeds off human energy.

NB: At the time of writing, i`m having a serious problem with the DVD disc from the camcorder. Somehow the format track was not laid down by the camcorder when i first started the disc, this mean the camcorder cannot now finalise the disc because it cannot find the information on the disc to do so. Unless i can find another way to do it, the DVD cannot be played on a player, or via the camcorder, and i cannot even get my laptop to recognise it. What is really annoying is i purchased proper Sony discs for my Sony camcorder because i didn`t want any problems recording this vigil... should have stuck to TDK ones!!!

Thanks, thats FAB! There is a spirit at the ruins who gives out these vibes and I now know why, but he does need help and I need to gain his trust in order to do this. My team will be returning on and off and I will be going back myself regularly until we have solved his problem and he feels ready to pass.
