Hi
From 1980 to 1995 I was a train driver with British Rail.

An article called WIERD OR WHAT in the Sun reported the following In 1981 a diesel locomotive numbered 47216 was having numerous problems, causing delays and disruptions. Then British Rail received a call from a woman who claimed to by psychic and told them the cursed loco was heading for disaster. The woman had seen a large blue engine in a dream and could read the number off the side and was in no doubt that it was jinxed. She told them the problems would get worse in ultimatly lead to death and destruction. British Rail checked her out and discovered the police acknowledged she had the power to "sense" things. Still they didn't take her warning too seriously but decided they would discreetly take action and change the locomotives number to 47299.
However a few months later, while carrying a train load of oil tankers, the locomotive ploughed straight into a passenger train, with fatal consequences. The jinx had struck again. Even the number hadn't been enough to rid the cursed loco of the unlucky fate that 47216 apparantly could not avoid. Read the following

On 24 July whilst carrying out a shunt move with the above loco I hit the buffer stops causing some damage to the locomotive. However the curse lived on, it resulted in me losing my job!

Thats right, it was one of the underground ones that we visited. Never get on the last train of the night, it's not a real train!
