He was the co-pilot of a flying fortress that crashed off Canvey Point on 19th June 1944, a very brave man.
He died so people on Canvey including my own family may live.
Thank you Fred and may you rest in peace.

19th june this year i will lay a reef at Cavey point from BTM for those who died in aircrash on 19th june 1944 and for the airman who died the same day on the kent side of the Thames. _________________ The sprit world is all around us. |

Since a intrest has started on canvey this year, our local council are going to add Fred's man to those who died from canvey during two world wars.
I think he should be remembered as he gave his live to save many on Canvey, a true hero. _________________ The sprit world is all around us. |
