Does anyone know anything about these, Alan sent me a text to say he had found something on the net and did I know anything about them.
Sounds like they could be an interesting place to investigate if we can locate them.

Dunno if my little of knowledge will help or not.
Way back when, there used to be caves and tunnels right across medway from the dockyard and fort amerhurst, fort luton they were all connected and linked to each other enabling soldiers and i would imagine royalty and anybody else to access the various ppints without detection overground.
Am not sure if any of them are still acccesible to the public now though

Hi all
I'm not sure about any tunnels, but I just thought I'd mention that there's a good entry about Bluebell Hill and Kits Coty on the Wikipedia website, and this site had a few interesting things in it - http://www.medwaycropcircle.co.uk/StonesBones3.htm |

i dont know where the tunnels are but ive been to kits coty a few times. had some good evidence there. especially in the "wood tunnel" i picked up that there has been rites with black magic in this part . a very black mass creeps up on you and follow all the time you are in the tunnel but as soon as you come out it doesnt follow you. well creepy. would love to go back there. _________________ hedgie |

Yes Kits Coty is a great site, we have been there a couple of times and also little Kits Coty to. The stones at Little Kits Coty have an amazing vibration - very wierd.

Thats very interesting.
The last visit we did there, the same thing happened to our group. It was described as a very dark, possibly evil intent type of mass, which was definately trying to force us back down the trackway towards the road (Pilgrims way) at the bottom of the hill. That wooded track felt okay on the way up, but more than one team member felt this "mass" as we returned.
This intrigue me, so i did some checking, thinking we might have stumbled across a link to the more famous haunting of Blue Bell Hill (ie: the road ghost of the girl), but what i found was a curious mention of the Blue Bell Hill Witch, with little more to give anymore of description, no name, dates or recorded sightings. One thing was clear was she wasn`t a white witch and did practise the black arts - this may account for the remaining residual effects of her power manifesting as this black mass. One might even go as far as to suggest that perhaps she managed to bring into our World an Elemental being with has remained trapped here long after her death - the witch being the only one able to send it back.
As for tunnels, the chalk hills of the downs would make for excellent tunnelling, but i could find no mention of any such tunnels on the hill, except the recent rail link tunnel. Trace is correct partly about the forts in Chatham - each fort is equiped with underground magazines to store gunpowder, and later shells. these tunnels linked to keys parts of each fort and were for rapid deployment of troops should the fort be under fire. Most tunnels ran to perimeter defences overlooking the dry ditch around the forts and ended in a defensive ditch structure called a caponier, basically a rifle gallery. Some went to counterscarp galleries. All were designed to stall any invasion of the ditch network, the line of fire covering the entire length and ditch circuit. However, since each fort was built as a self-contained building, the likelihood of connecting tunnels between each fort is remote. Defences like the Chatham lines were there to block off whole sections of land in case they fell into enemy hands. Each fort would act separately, if one fell the next would become the fallback position.
Another fact about the forts is their defences face away from the sea towards the land...
It was built like this incase an enemy gained a foothold elsewhere and tried to attack from land.
Ultimately, alot of these forts, including defences at Dover, the Thames estuary, Portsmouth, Plymouth and Milford Haven - were never tested in battle. Most cost a small fortune to build back in the 1860`s or earlier, and alot were never fully armed. Quite simply the progression in firepower, weaponary and technology made them obsolete before they were ready... They have earned an unfair nickname (taken from the Prime Minister of the day who ordered their construction) of "Palmerstons Follies"... unfair in that yes, they were never used - but they DID serve as a deterrent towards the French, so one could argue they served their point after all.... _________________ Its a synergy all around us!

Thanks for that hun, I know the place was used for white witchcraft and druid celebrations, but to be honest not picked up on anything dark around the monument itself, but do sometimes feel a bit intimidated in the wooded tunnel.

Spoke to Andy again about this.
He confirmed that what he was getting was a malevolent entity that was pushing us (or pursuing us??) down the wooded trackway towards the road. It only seemed to stop for a short while then gathered pace again - whatever it was it simply wanted us out of there. If it could harm us (which i don`t think it could) it would have tried - perhaps it would have affected a sensitive person in the same way as giving them headache, sick feeling etc.. Andy said he picked up no actual person - there was just nothing there to pick up on except this dark mass.
With not just Andy picking up on it too (Dave, Pete, Sheree, Liz and James all felt it was there) its clear to me that something was giving out a powerful energy field. The EMF meter wasn`t picking up anything in its range, so perhaps this wasn`t EMF based energy. I wonder if Dark energy or matter actually reads as EMF anyway...
When we walked down to the Little Kits Coty stones and then came back again, this dark mass was still waiting at the bottom of the path. When we reached the cars, Andy said its moving towards us again, so we decided to leave. But it was moving very slowly, like it was just trying to intimidate us, implying strategy and collective thought were very much evident within it...
We want to go back again next year, but since we are not sure what the hell we are dealing with, perhaps it would be a good idea to do a joint invest and have strength in numbers... _________________ Its a synergy all around us!

The old hag is supposed to haunt this part of Bluebell hill, however ther is much written about her anywhere in books on haunted kent. They seem to focus more on the girl and the bride.
Will have to see if i can remember wher i got the book from about the hauntings of kent |
